Школьная форма - LOOK AT TEENAGE PROBLEMS: SCHOOL EDUCATION

Цели урока:

1. Обучение диалогической речи по теме «Школьная форма».

2. Закрепление навыков устной речи.

3. Активизация лексических навыков по теме «Школа».

Оборудование: фломастеры, краски; 5 листов бумаги формата А3; картинки по теме «Одежда».

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you.

Say “Hello!”

And clap your hands!

Don’t say “No!”

And, please, say “Yes!”

— How are you, children?

— Today we shall find out if it is worth wearing a school uniform or not.


II. Фонетическая разминка

— It is time to train our tongues. Kate, come to my table, please, and choose one of the cards with the sounds.

Ученик выбирает одну из транскрипционных карточек, лежащих на столе учителя, и показывает ее классу. Ученики по очереди называют слова по теме «Образование» с этим звуком.

Пример:

[t] — type, start, study, teacher, system, attend, private, state, subject;

[s] — secondary, school, start, system, student, self-educated, compulsory;

[aı] — type, higher, private, child, primary, lyceum;

[g] — graduate, grade, kindergarten, go, get, good;

— college, gymnasium, age, technology, subject;

[d] — education, discipline, children, secondary, student. Ученики хором повторяют звуки и слова, отрабатывая их произношение.


III. Активизация лексики по теме «Образование»

— I want you to open your Workbooks, page 56, exercise 1. Make up as many word combinations as you can and write them down. Who is ready to read the words?

Учитель организует выполнение упр. 1, стр. 56 из рабочей тетради в форме игры «Составь словосочетание». На составление 5-7 словосочетаний ученикам отводится 3—4 минуты. В рамках отведенного времени учащиеся записывают словосочетания в рабочей тетради. Затем дети по очереди зачитывают по одному словосочетанию. Ученик, назвавший словосочетание последним, становится победителем данной игры.

Примерные словосочетания: free education, private education, compulsory education, quiet school, perfect school, strict teacher, higher education, skilled teacher, compulsory subjects, etc.


IV. Тренировка навыков монологической речи

— Today I want you to play the game “Agree or disagree” with me. You will listen to my statements and agree with me if Ш am right. Repeat my statement if it is true. Disagree with me and correct my statement if it is false.

About 60% of English children attend state schools. (I disagree with you. About 93% of English children attend state schools.)

In American public schools students wear a school uniform. (I disagree with you. In American public schools students wear whatever they want.)

In Great Britain there are different types of secondary schools. (I agree with you. In Great Britain there are different types of secondary schools.)

Education in Australia is compulsory between the ages of 6 and 17. (I disagree with you. Education in Australia is compulsory between the ages of 6 and 15.)

The discipline is very strict in British public schools. (I agree with you. The discipline is very strict in British public schools.)

In Australia about 70 per cent of children study in state schools. (I agree with you. In Australia about 70% of children study in state schools.)

Eton, Harrow, Rugby and Winchester are famous private schools in Australia. (I disagree with you. Eton, Harrow, Rugby and Winchester are famous private schools in Great Britain.)

Most of the American private schools have religious education. (I agree with you. Most of the American private schools have religious education.) Etc.


V. Развитие навыков устной речи по теме «Школьная форма»

— Do pupils wear a school uniform in Russia? Do you like to wear a uniform? Why? Why not? What do your parents think about a school uniform? Give your pros and cons using the word combinations from exercise. Anybody feels like speaking?

После небольшой предварительной беседы учитель предлагает учащимся выполнить упр. 70, стр. 77. Сначала ученики зачитывают вслух и переводят словосочетания из данного упражнения, а затем высказывают аргументы «за» и «против» школьной формы.


VI. Физкультминутка

Физкультминутка проводится дежурным учеником.

— It’s time to have a rest. Will you stand up? Who wants to recite the poem and show the exercises?

Ten little fingers,

Ten little toes,

Two little ears

And one little nose.

Two little eyes,

They shine so bright.

One little mouth

To say “Good night!”


VII. Обучение диалогической речи по теме «Школьная форма»

— It’s time to divide into pairs and act out the dialogues. Look at the picture of exercise 71, page 77 and prepare the dialogues using the words an expressions from this exercise.

Учитель предлагает учащимся разделиться на пары для составления и разработки диалогов из упр. 71, стр. 77. На подготовку диалогам детям отводится 3—4 минуты. Для менее подготовленных учеников могут быть предложены в качестве опоры диалоги с пропущенными словами. В конце данного этапа урока пары учащихся по очереди выходят к доске и разыгрывают составленные диалоги.

Примерные диалоги:

a) Теасhеr. Mary, can I speak to you?

Girl. Yes, of course.

Teacher. Why are you not in your school uniform today?

Girl. I don’t like it at all so I don’t want to wear it.

Teacher. Why? In my opinion, your uniform is very nice.

Girl. No! I have a different opinion. It is boring and out of fashion. I don’t feel comfortable in it.

Teacher. I don’t care. You must put on your uniform tomorrow. It is a school rule. Don’t forget it or I will have a talk with your parents.

b) Teaсher. Robby, why are you looking sloppy today? Where is your uniform?

Воу. It is at home, sir.

Teacher. Don’t you remember that you have to wear it every day?

Boy. But Mr Smith, I hate my uniform. I don’t have self-confidence when I wear uniform. It is not becoming to me. As for me it is boring.

Teaсher. I have a different opinion. If you don’t wear school uniform you will be punished.


VIII. Закрепление навыков устной речи. Формирование навыков создания и защиты проекта

— Let’s work in groups of four. You will design your own school uniform and present it to the class. Get ready to comment your uniform. You may design the ideal uniform for small children or for teenagers. We are short of time. Let’s listen to your ideas and choose the best uniform.

Ученики делятся на группы по четыре человека для подготовки мини-проекта «Идеальная школьная форма». В течение 8—10 минут учащиеся работают в группе, а затем представляют свои варианты школьной формы всему классу. Для оформления плаката ученикам выдаются листы бумаги, фломастеры, краски. Учитель привлекает внимание детей к картинкам по теме «Одежда», заранее развешанным на доске, и побуждает их использовать названия различных предметов одежды в своих работах.


IX. Подведение итогов урока

— That’s all we have time for. Our lesson is over. Thank you for your work. You may collect your things. Will you stand up, please?

Raise your head!

Jump up high!

Wave your hand

And say “Good-bye!”

— Good-bye, everybody. See you tomorrow.
